Hi all,

My 680e apparently up and died on me... it won't respond to any button presses or to the reset button. I've fully charged the battery (the light still goes from red to green upon recharge) and I've tried disconnecting the battery for a while, and using the AC power directly, but no dice.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
Harris

I've got some ideas that i believe should be tried in this order

1) hard reset
2) check the battery terminals (ensure they're clean)
3) check the keyboard connection to the mainboard
4) check the display connection

Hope this helps

Thanks. How is a hard reset done, again? Not sure where my manual is. I had thought it was to disconnect the battery for a while, which I already did, although it was probably only for about 15-20 minutes.

Thanks, the hard reset did it. Now if I'd only made a backup.... not really a prob -- I'll just sync the files over. But I will use a CF card to make a backup this time....
