Hi all,

Im having major troubles with my activesync. My WinCE 4.2 Device connects for a few secs, the disconnects (ARGGHHH!!!!! lol).

Yes, I have latest ActiveSync
Yes, I every thing is up to date
Yes, I've checked the cabling

Hopefully someone can shed some light onto this.

Regards,
Gizmondo

PS Someone said it might be driver conflict issues.

Try an older Activsync version. The newer versions don't like CE all of the time.

Yes, I use 3.8, it is probably the most stable of the ActiveSync lineup... Of course it is the last for us legacy Handheld PC users and dare I say it, legacy Pocket PC users...

I know, C:Amie. Microsoft recommends AS 3.8 for legacy PPC users which includes PPC2002, WM2003...

If you are using this feature on a Windows Mobile 2003-based device, please continue using ActiveSync 3.x or earlier

...Now it won't even open!

Using Task Manager, as soon as WCESMgr.exe is opened, it is closed like within a seconds.

This is an interesting problem. My 680's (2 of them) work flawlessly in activesync using serial or wi-fi. My 720 works flawlessly with USB, but boots itself on wi-fi. Watching the screens, it shows disconnection from the desktop many seconds before the 720 reflects that it isn't actually connected. Would like to figure this one out, didn't mean to hijack the thread, but I didn't want to waste a new one on such a similar problem Oh, activesync 3.8 BTW.
