| hi,
I noticed recently that Psion Teklogix is no longer posting the updated Windows CE.NET 4.2 images for Psion netBook Pro.
Does anyone of you know why or is there another way to get the latest images for my netBook Pro? (Or did Psion simply move their download link or maybe forgotten?).

|
| As a matter of interest what is the latest ROM version and how do I check which version my Netbook Pro is running? |
|
|
|
| Expansys have it available to download at:

| If it's not too big, perhaps we should mirror that on this site? |

| Well I clicked the link on Expansys, and it says it's a zip file at 18.6 MB.
I didn't actually download it tho. |

| Folks, don't forget the image on Expansys is already 'old', because there was a newer one in may/june.
This was for a shorttime downloadable from Psion Teklogix, but suddenly disappaeared.
The new version had couple of advantages:
- Better PC Card power control
- Spreadsheet program included: SpreadCE 1.19
- bugs fixed
To verify whether you have the very latest (i.e. from April/June release):
Go to System Properties in your Control panel:
WinCE date code - D154n
PCon date code - B184r
BooSt date code - B184r
Psion Support is completely quiet when I have e-mailed to customer support.

| Does anybody have a copy of that newer image? I have used the Expansys version to change a German Netbook pro to English.

| Takwu & group.
Any ROM images that you can provide me with / provide links for, we will mirror on the site for users.
I would certainly be interested in getting hold of the latest one for people. |

| I just looked on Psion Tex site and found the Netbook Pro image dated 15 October 2004. This has the SpreadCE application. I don't know if it is the latest version of the OS but it is a newer one that I had

| Just wanted everyone to know that PsionTeklogix appears to have released a new updated rom image for the Netbook Pro. It is date January 30th 2006 and is revision 404. You will need to log into the Teknet site to download the file.
My new Netbook Pro is on its way to me in the mail, and as you can see, I am getting ahead of myself |

| Hi Rocketman,
Maybe a stupid question, but how did you manage to get the OS from PT's Teknet? I am trying to get onto their download section for a few weeks now, not making any progress! I can log into teknet, but if I click the download link, I get nothing but the standard Teknet page, no download section at all! I you look at the HTML code in the page, the link isnt linking to something!
After they 'renewed' their Teknet, the complete download section for customers seems to have disappeared.
I would really love to take a look at the new OS, since I use my NBPro very much!
Greetings from the netherlands,

| Very interesting... If they're still updating the image... I wonder if they'll offer a CE5 or WM5 upgrade? Some of you might pay a fair price for it right? Perhaps someone should ask them |

| For everyone having trouble with TekNet:
I made it to the download section. I made an new TekNet account and filled in al the forms they asked for, after that I was connected to the new teknet and am downloading the new OS.
Also make sure your user name and password are long (10 characters).
With this new account, I am VERY HAPPY!
Greetings,
Wouter |
