hm, interestign...

no, it is not an orinoco, it was just that i remembered i have had problems with mips wifi drivers under ce 2.0...

it is a "standard" prism based wlan card (senao sl-2511-cf)... if all else fails, try one of these prism cards.

i just installed sp1, then reset, then nsp, reset, wlan driver, and plugged the card in... worked right away

an idea.. install vxutil and check the IP info.

Well I can now say for sure the Orinoco card is OK - as I am posting this from my third hpc in two weeks - which is a very nice j710.

The card is ticking away here on battery power with no problems.

I still may gived it another go on the 810c - now I know it can be done, at least with ARM and HPC2000 drivers.

I have also got plans for a nec mp790 as this keyboard is just too small !

Pictures of battery rebuild to follow in a different thread.

Just to confirm cmonex, have you got a Orinoco wlan card working in a MIPS CPU (Mobile Pro?) 750?

just an update. lucent wavelan silver worked fine in the 750C (MIPS, CE 2.0). tried it two days ago. forgot to try compaq and the card has been sold since then oops i really should've tried to see if the prism driver caused the screen problem or the need to power the wlan card.
i believe this is the first 802.11b wavelan.. i guess same as orinoco 8410...

anything about the battery rebuild?
