| I apologize if this is covered somewhere already, but I haven't found it.
I have a NEC MP780 with a 3Com 3c589c network card. The network card is recognized by the CE device. Upon hooking up to my router, I am able to obtain a DHCP lease and ping my desktop PC. I am also able to ping my CE device from the desktop PC.
So There is communication.
However....I can not seem to view network shares or browse the internet. I constantly get the error window stating it's a bad network path or make sure your ethernet card is set up correctly. I even tried connecting to my FTP server anonymously. Something is not quite right, and I can't figure it out.
Can someone please clue me in? | |

| There is a sticky thread at the top of this forum on the 589x... | |
| |
| I have been through everything on that sticky thread and none of it was helpful. I have the correct drivers loaded. I have the PCMCIA updates loaded and I'm running the correct service pack. I am still able to ping but nothing else. | |
