| Hi,
My TV card has been broken for a while now and I'm really getting fed up not having TV in my bedroom, I don't have the space for a standalone TV and my Moniter is good enough.
Now to cut to the chase, what TV card do you recommend? It needs to be PCI with SVideo and Composte Video Inputs. I don't know about the Audio bit, but it really needs to go through my Sound Card before my HiFi, though my HiFi is my speakers.
Cheers,
Nick |

| I am not much of an afficiando but I have a leadtek that does a pretty good job. A lot of people may recommend ATI, which is probably better but is more $$$ |

| The one I use for my notebook PC is made by AVerMedia. But it's an external USB receiver. I don't have any complaints about it, though.
(Hey, it just occurred to me. I may be able to view and store recorded clips from it on my H/PCs if they're one of the right formats for TCPMP and/or Wodeon - unfortunately, my notebook is in critical condition right now. ) Edited by CE Geek 2005-12-17 4:00 PM

| The PCI one I have in my desktop PC is called TView. It has always worked well. However, I don't know who makes it - I no longer have the box it came in. (I bought it at a local computer show. ) Edited by CE Geek 2005-12-17 4:18 PM

| Pinnacle or Aver, Pinnacle's software is by far better than Hauppauges, who just have done nothing with it. No experience with Aver's software, but the HW's good. |

| Nick...just hook the sound into the sound in port of your sound card!
That should save you some money. |
