This serves no purpose other than to demonstrate the fact that I found it.

Tested with ActiveSync 3.8.5004

If you Open in Windows Explorer (or what have you; for cmonex et al )
c:\documents and settings\<username>\

where <username> is your user profile (e.g. c:\documents and settings\chris\)

Then in the explorer create a new Folder named:
Explorer

If you then connect a H/PC, open ActiveSync and click the "Explore" button on the toolbar....

OK... 1 question...

Why are you using 3.0?

If it's in 3.8.5004, then there is a strong chance it's in all 3.x releases, though the path statement I could only guess at.
c:\windows or c:\windows\users at a guess.

I am using 3.0 because 3.8 stopped opening on me, so I decided to install a random version, so I chose 3.0 ...

I'd go for 3.1 final release or 3.7.1 then, not 3.0; it's far too buggy.

group,

It appears that this bug/issue has been fixed in ActiveSync 4.1. I attempted to duplicate it and the behavior is normal.

Regards,
