| as above, interested in a intermec 6651 / sharp telios hc7000 / sharp telios hc-vj1 / hc-vj2 battery.
my new 6651 got to be one of my main hpc's, so it deserves a spare battery...
battery can be in any condition even dead
other option is to buy from japan (i saw some sites at least ), but i would need some help for that as of course they will not ship overseas. |

| Hi Monica,
the best advice I can provide is watch ebay with an eagle eye. Two new 6651 batteries surfaced at different times for $25US & shipping. I hesitated and someone else snapped them up. Both of them had a day or two on auction before they were nabbed.
I'm pleased you think the 6651 deserves first-string status. They certainly are in my mind. |

| I know exactly why I hesitated. I had one 6651 lost in shipping, and was waiting to snag a replacement one from ebay. That, and I had just sent back my 4th defective Toshiba e740, (after a long battle to get the expansion pack, long story) so I wasn't in much of a mood to buy something I may never use.
Hindsight, I should have BIN and been done. Oh well, live and learn right? |

| I can help from Japan. Are these new batteries? Can the Intermec 6651 batteries be rebuilt?
I currently have 4 computers all batteries are dead (one with a cracked screen courtesy of TSA and others with minor problems).
I am looking for another computer, which will be my last 6651.

| hi Ceya!
thanks for offering your help! i don't know if they're new batteries, i found a few japanese sites, some of them sell refurb ones, some others just offer rebuilding services (these were the cheap ones ). babelfish helped me sometimes but dunno if i found the best sites.
battery part numbers:
HC-BL02 (for hc-vj-2 )
871-012-010 (for intermec 6651 )
dunno if there's any other part number that could help.
4 computers: 4 intermec's you mean? sounds so sad, 4 dead intermec..
mm, if only the cells are dead i'd be glad to have one of them. (yes they can be rebuilt with three standard 18650 cells! )
btw, i've sent you an email now to your public email address. hope you receive it! Edited by cmonex 2006-01-10 3:39 PM

| Really eh? Ceya, I've been watching you hunt for 6651s for about two years at Brighthand among other places. Your persistence has paid off. Now rebuild those packs and get 10-12 hours of power ! |
|
|
|
| i have had the 6651 before Brighthand (Sharp telios 7000 in English and Japanese ).
i still need another one. i will write a detail problem with the handhelds i have had with wince.
not get off topic cmonex email returned.

hmm this site is talking about nickel based/lead acid batteries, but they should be able to deal with li-ion too?! intermec batteries have li-on cells. |
