Winamp is pretty but I also learned how much it bogs down the cpu.

I never thought to use tcpmp for audio, I did and it works well. Thanks for the reminder gang.

Unfortunately WM5 does not let you do it, unless there is some kind of third party utility...


WM5 cannot let you do it as everything that's to do with storage goes into ROM, RAM is for running programs only.

however some innovative hackers developed a ramdisk app that will let you use some part of the ram for storage iirc... dunno if it is still in beta. at the beginning it was quite buggy i remember that

Do you know where this was?
By the way, I messed up my WM5 PPC trying to install Nyditot ... I even had to do a hard reset
