gmail pop3 on MP790

I really want to use the built-in email program(inbox) for my e-mail on my 790 rather than open my browser every time. I went through all the instructions on the gmail website, but it's still not working. It says it can't connect.

If it is impossible to use the 790's inbox with gmail, then does anyone at least know any websites that offer pop3 or imap4 service and is known to work with the 790? Any support would really help.

PS: I wish HPC Factor offered mail service... someday?

inbox cannot do SSL. nor can it change the default ports for pop3 and smtp. read the gmail help more thoroughly
qmail3 can do all of this. and it is free. but you need to put a thawte certificate in .pem format into the mail/security folder. (search for it, has been discussed already)
