| I tried the beta on my Smartbook, but as expected, dll errors
ExecutabilityCheck on the opera.dll file:
Quote "cellcore.dll" can't be loaded. "cellcore.dll" or its linked file can't be found.
\Windows\aygshell.dll doesn't export a function ordinary 97
\Windows\coredll.dll doesn't export a function ordinary 1172
I guess cellcore.dll means we have no chance of running it?

| ive already tried this. got everything right except aygshell 97. BTW, same level of "success" (except aygshell 97 ) on J728 as on cenet 4.2. anyone want to know my little new secret on how to bring hpc2000 to a similar level of cenet 4.2 regarding certain WM2003 apps? the realization came from the SIP experiments (guess what, then hpc2000 had the advantage, and i just reversed it )
btw cellcore no longer means defeat read the NF 3.3 thread
ive no idea about aygshell 97... acquired a real WM2003 (well, WM2003SE ) aygshell.dll which of course contains export 97, but this aygshell is really far from being integrated to the hpc OS. wants a different commctrl, wants two missing (entirely ppc specific ) dlls... if i can get all ppc system dlls, then i won't give up as this is an interesting experiment |

Now you tell me... I hope this means we can run Macromedia Flash! (like we can in HPC2000 ) |

| i dont have time to try macromedia flash at the moment but if you tell me what execheck reports i can either confirm (hopefully ) it will work. or can't (and then there's not much hope ).
(if you place the first cellcore.dll from my site in \windows or in the flash folder and the missing imports are anything between 120 and 130, it is solvable. )
btw i got a new idea about the missing aygshell function but again, i don't have time to try only next week |

| Hi, I have succeed to get Opera working on MY NetBook Pro.
I have tried it also on J720 but the main issue is that it requires ws2.dll that it is not in the HPC2000 system. I hace tried with a ce.net ws2.dll but without success.
May be that is there a windows ce 3.0 version of that library (pheraphs ppc 2002 ).
Is there someone that can hel me? (image.png) (Screen002.png) Attachments ---------------- image.png (0KB - 7 downloads) Screen002.png (13KB - 11 downloads) |

ws2: i didn't have a problem with that on hpc2000, but let me check.
edit: OK, i checked, it doesn't have a problem with ws2, i can send you the right ws2.dll (actually it is just a cenet PB 4.2 ws2 with OS version hexedited to CE3 ) |

hey. i tried that method (before your answer ) and execheck just said aygshell was missing 29000080 (actually, function 41, which means 29000080 )
i couldnt figure this out, not for the life of me.
maybe i didnt replace the correct string?! was it 61 00 00 80?
can you send me the modified (and working ) exe?! you know my email (i'll get the ws2.dll for you of course, asap ) |

must be the firewall you're using or something, it is the actual link. i can't help more than that if you still can't access it with the firewall (s ) turned off, i'll send you the stuff. |

| been there, done that, no joy
please send your opera exe to my email address, contactchan (at ) freemail.hu
thanks VERY much
about ws2.dll, didn't you get coredll.dll errors on your J720? if you did, i can send you a cenet coredll.dll hexedited for hpc2000 (my trick to get hpc2000 to cenet levels ). (of course it will require additional but easy hexedits ) |

Sorry, where's your site? (your profile links to an empty site )
must be the firewall you're using or something . . .
hmm, it works now. Last time it wasn't really an "empty" page, but it seemed like a generic site error message, and it wasn't in English, so I called it an "empty" page Perhaps it was simply a site maintaintence time?
Anyway it works now and I downloaded your file.
Here's the Exec Chk report for flash.dll using the first cellcore:
\Windows\cellcore.dll doesn't export a function ordinary 128
\Windows\cellcore.dll doesn't export a function ordinary 120
\Windows\cellcore.dll doesn't export a function ordinary 122
\Windows\cellcore.dll doesn't export a function ordinary 121
I tried 3 4 and 5 as well. They don't give load errors, but the flash simply doesn't work (like nothing happens on the webpage ). |
