There is a very nice plugin for GSPlayer that will allow you to play MOD files. Gsplayer is one of the best MP3/OGG/WAV players for Windows CE based devices and is also free/open source.

The H/PC build is near the bottom of the page. It will work fine with this plugin even though it is intended for Pocket PC.

The author of this plugin seems to only have a build available for ARM CE 4.2 based Pocket PCs but he may recompile it for other processors/platforms if you ask him to.
Since you have a CE 4.1 device, you will need to modify the OS version of the dll using either a hex editor or the ExecutabilityCheck utility. Search the forum if you would like more information on how to do this.
