Help me and my jornada680

Hi guys
I have just got a used jornada680 from the net. All work well except that I cann't send or receive a file by the irDA!
Can this model do these by irDA, or some soft must be installed in the pc first.
Any reply will be appreciate!!

H/PC's of this generation does not contain a OBEX driver by default. You need to use OBEX over Infrared to communicate with a Windows PC for regular file transfer. There is more on IR here:

There are two good software options which spring to mind immediately.
If you want a stand alone application then EzOBEX:
