I don't think you need to defend yourself, cmonex; if anything, I think luap owes you an apology. I found his referring to you as "vanguard thing" particularly arrogant.

Thanks for the correction-that's what I meant-3.8 is the version I have loaded not 4.0-I'm not sure if the Microsoft website indicated 4.0 was incompatible with my HPC version of software. luap has enough problems connecting without using the wrong version of Activesync.

4.0 is compatible with the J720 just not officially, but afaik it isnt worth to upgrade to 4.0

If 4.1 works with the J720, than I recommend 4.1... I believe 4.0 has USB sync probems..

Unless you have a specific need of using 4.x - i.e IA64 or EM64T/AMD64 CPU's or you coexist with WM5. The site recommendation is to stick with 3.8.5004.

And yes, 4.1 works with HPC2000.
