Hi, all. I've been gone for a while due to PC problems; hope eveyone is doing great in the new year!

I'm having a frustrating little problem I hope someone can help me resolve: after getting my OS bugs worked out, I tried to sync with my 720, but was unable to. Finally, I just started a new connection with ActiveSync, and renamed my device. (Don't know whether this has contributed to the problem, but am just relaying anything that might be pertinent).

When I synchronized with Avantgo for the first time, however, it placed the all the downloaded data "Databases" using the main memory, not the 1GB CF Storage Card. AS loaded up as I am with Avantgo options, there;s almost no memory left for anything else. (Large ebooks, for example).

Although it's been a few months since I've sync'ed with Avantgo, I'm pretty darn sure it all used to dump onto the CF card! I have a folder there, under Program Files > Avantgo > called "databases," but there's nothing in any of the subfolders therein, except a file called "STAMP."

What to do? Can I redirect the Avantgo downloads to the Storage Card?

Thanks for any replies.

Very nice to see the community is alive an kickin'!

When I used to use AvantGo, I would always move the store. It is done through the registry.

HKey_Current_User\Software\Avantgo
Change the DataBaseLocation value from "\windows\avantgo" to a new location e.g. "\storage card\program files\avantgo

Move the RAM store over to the cf at the location you entered above and sync.

Thanks, Chris.

Always there in a pinch!

What about putting all my other sync'd data (i.e. Outlook stuff) on the card?

I'll give the Registry bit a try...

thanks again,

Only inbox attachments, the AvantGo settings and PIM information is all stored in CE system databases which cannot be moved.
