I'm sure this has been asked more then once, but I'd like to hear about everyone's favorite apps. What is an absolute must-have application in your opinion? So far Resco File Explorer is my most used program.

Most used software for me is Derdack Message Master. I use it extensively for SMSes, phone book management. Nothing beats a full keyboard to type long smses!!

Other than that, Netfront gets used quite a bit, as does Adobe Reader 2.0.

third party apps that i can't do without? not just fav but must have?

then:

ircce - for irc, IM
total commander
wlan + bt drivers + a wifi scanner app if the OS is hpc2000. (pocketwinc is my fav)
language extender - for accented chars in my native language.
gsbattmon_tsy - for battery monitoring

and if it weren't for the bsquare (it is my main phone now), i would list mphone too (i like it better than message master)

there are a lot more that are important for me, but these are the absolutely must have stuff. hopefully i finally remembered all must have apps

iTunes Controlling software of course
What's better then sitting back with your HPC, checkin' your email and telling your PC to skip this lame song?

Total Commander, Textmaker, Thesaurus, nPop, 24Term, and weirdly enough, Reversi, a time-waster, but fast about it.

I'll also add Sprite backup, once (if) we get it running OK. Nothing beats a quick restore instead of a scratch install.

I've been so busy setting my handheld up, I haven't spent much time using the programs.

Mobipocket keeps me connected to the world, especially so since I don't watch the news on tv or get a newspaper or listen to the radio. Mobipocket provides me a quick way to browse the headlines of CNN, Reuters and the Washington Post - and choose which articles I want to read.

HPC notes is very useful for quick notes and transfers the notes from your Outlook to your handheld.

I have installed the Clearvue Office suite - to bring along Office documents that don't have to be converted to pocket format.

PowerPresent - a powerpoint program to edit ppt files, again without having to convert them to Pocket format.

Worldtalk - especially since I've discovered the right link for accessing my Hotmail.

ITaskMgr - to monitor my CPU usage and to close running processes.

Xaudio player - the best mp3 player in terms of low CPU usage.

Tombo - for taking and organizing notes.

SpaceFinder by Tillanosoft - to know which files have to be deleted.

I love the little Japanese games - nankin and sisen

I just installed Pocket Streets 2005 and I now have MS Streets 2005 - so I'm looking forward to using that.

Gotta go with TCPMP. It's really cool looking at videos and movies on the big screen. Also, I really like Power Toys and Plus! And, yes, I like PIE 4.

(BTW, shouldn't this thread be in General Discussion instead of H/PC 2000?)

2nd on TCPMP. Great piece of software! Even though my old 6365 had better playback, the 728 does an excellent job for a 3 year handheld using a 5 yr old design.

Winampaq is great as well!!
