No. Opera is a web browser, previously for PCs and Macs. Now they're developed for many different platforms. Unfortunately HPCs aren't one of them... unless you count the hacks for CE .Net.

I agree with cmonex, at least Psion-wise. My Mako came bundled with Opera and granted that the OS isn't very fast, Opera already knew that and pushed on anyway.

Opera, to use on a real website, can't be done on the Psion, IMHO. I don't even have it installed anymore--I use Psion's own Web, equally glacial but not nearly as bloated.

Monica, do you have Opera on one of your Psions? How many minutes does it take to give a full rendering of HPCFactor.com?

i have opera on the mc218, do you want the rendering with images or without?

don't forget that this psion has 36 Mhz (it isn't the OS that is slow, no! it is the CPU). opera is nice & fast enough on the S7 (i have tried it). of course not any nicer than IE4 (worse with SSL, for example), but much better than the default Web

anyway i expected more from the ppc version ..

edit: heck i realize now you wanted to use opera on the revo. crazy idea... crazy.

The Psion version is much older right? I would assume the latest version to be improved Just like how much better IE6 is over IE4.

cmonex just how bad is WM5 Opera? I thought it would be pretty good, hopefully better than the IE4 from year 2000... no? Remember Sharp chose to include Opera in the W-ZERO3 (new WM5 VGA phone) which says it's at least significantly better than PIE and probably a little better than NetFront 3.2 (maybe even 3.3).

Back on topic: it would be fun to compare the DS browser to the J720 browser, don't you think?
