| Text only, strips the HTML out !
Tested on yahoo and slashdot.
Amazingly slow on the HPC.
Alpha version , use at your own risk !
For some reason the 'socket closed' event
triggers BEFORE the 'data arrival' event on the HPC sometimes .... never on the emulator , so :
If it dont work the first time, click it again ! :-)

| Could we get a fullscreen version for 800x600? I have a MP800 which is 800x600 and it would be great if I could make use of the entire screen.
Looks very nice! I'd love to see the code for this. |

| That wouldn't be too difficult to do: the easiest way would be to implement a WM_SIZE trap, and dynamically resize your controls as needed. |

| Would like to test. How can I get it? Thanks.

| Hello again, this version can display the RSS items in HTML now ! just click the link and it will open in internet explorer.
Tommorow i will start a re-write to make it ALOT faster, and give option for larger screens (and maybe smaller) by ouputting all the data to a single web page loadable by internet explorer. Of course pocket internet exploder cant nativly display the rss html, but in this version and future it will _fix_ it first :-)
it will probably be a bit of a while before the next release, this one is SLOW but seems to work well for me

I'll get this installed ASAP.
Don't forget our full RSS feed set can be found here: http://www.hpcfactor.com/qlink/?linkID=141
As soon as you are confident with the stability of the release, will get it added to the FAQ on that page. |

| Well, i decided to add some features such as FULL HTML view, and increased load times, before a full re-write. Also a FULL AUTO mode.
If you place 'express' as the last line in your /rssfeeds.txt it will open a new form (may work on pocket pcs ?) for the status as it loads all the feeds, and generates a HTML page, and when it finishes loading the page, it closes itself.
Load times are increased because now only the headers are parsed at load time, the description and html are generated on demand.
If you choose full-auto or "View all as HTML" the program will generate a index and a table of the RSS items. The index only work on my hpc2000, not on the emulators hpc 2.11, apparently PIE 3 doesnt support anchors in documents.
You can view this HTML offline without reloading the RSS reader, just by starting 'des.htm' from the root directory. (if your offline, html images may not load though)
Give it some time when generating big HTML pages, cause it needs it ! |
