| Hello,
I'm looking for an alternative to Pocket Word. I used to have textmaker on my PPC but softmaker wont let me migrate to HPC, and i'm not paying again, so its going to be freeware. Any suggestions? Or is there nothing out there?

| drop aygshell.dll (16.5k one for example) in the textmaker folder and hooray you have textmaker on your hpc.
but of course this wouldnt be a legal method of doing things.

| Tough one. Not sure if its legal in the UK. Technically i own the rights to use the software on "a mobile device".

| I tried running the PPC installer for the sheer sake of it. It installs, but only if you select the German version. Now, this is all well and good, except now its in German - anyone know how to change textmakers language?
EDIT: never mind, got a german speaking friend to locate the language settings

| interesting, why only with the german version? | |

| No idea. I tried English and it said "Incompatable Device Type". I tired German just in case and it worked. You can then change it back to English using the preferences. | |
