Hey everybody! I recently bought myself a used J720 off ebay, and I am really excited about this beautiful machine.

I have a problem relating to the wifi connection. The unit came with a Enterasys roam about card, and for some reason, the connection is always marginal, if not at all. There is the roam-about utility that semed to display either "out of range" or "seeking"most of the time.

Yesterday I brought the unit to my job, which had wifi access. My laptop which contained a Netgear 802.11 b card, and there is absolutely no problem getting strong connection. But the J720 could not get any connection.

So my question to you kind folks:

1) What is going on that my laptop could get wifi connection, where as my J720 could not? are there different type of wifi signals that are not compatible with the enterasys card?

2) do you recommend me trying another wifi card, particularly something that is recommended in HCL?

anyway, thanks for any help.

tony

of if the router is set to 802.11G only then thats a different wifi signal.
