So, I've found an offer for a Sharp HC-4100. I've read that the screen is monochrome and that it comes with CE2.0.

I'd like to know how good the screen quality is. Is it a sharp image or dull and difficult to read? I have a Cassiopeia A11+, and the quality of the screen is not very good.

Any other information users may have would be excelent. I'd like to learn as much as I can before buying.

average monochrome screen... they are never that sharp... isnt too bad though, ive seen much worse ones

keyboard is the thing i love about the 4100.

it also has a modem & 12 mb ram, not too bad for an early CE2 unit.

case looks soo cheap however and only one pcmcia slot. no other slot, cf or anything

batteries are a pain to change, sometimes but not too bad.

some nice sharp apps in rom.. at least image viewer is definitely nice. i didn't try the voice recorder

that's all i can say now.

Thanks. The price thus far is reasonable. If I get it, I'll update on the condition and what work I do to it.

Kinda ironic in this case given the brand name.
