Hello mates,

i got myself a HP 620LX free from a friend,

my plan was to get this baby wireless Networking.
I know this is posible reading these treats.

now my problem is, when i check the HCL
I can find many cards, but where to buy them??

i'v checked e-bay and other places but can't seem to find anyplace to buy an adapter that works on my device,
i'm thinking of spending 50 euro (65 US dollar) max on this, please advice.

greets, from a dutch 620LX user.

Free 620's. You have good friends!

You will need to install the NSP and we recommend that you install SP1 as well. See the Support and then Patching section for more on those.

As to the matter at hand. The recommendation is that you find yourself a known compatible Prism 2.5 adapter on eBay and grab it. I have a Pretec CompactWiLAN, which seems to work fine with CE2.00 and the Reference drivers that you can get in the Support section (see the Prism 2.5 Reference Drivers article). If you can match the chipset you will be good for a whole range of cards. Have a search around the forum, there are plenty of detains on Prism 2.5 adapters - and the CE 2.00 compatible ones listed in the HCL will be a eBay pointer.

As ever, if you get something for the device and it works - or even if it doesn't - please report it through the HCL submission form, and we will get it added to the HCL.

Good luck.

thanks for the quick reply,

and yes i'm verry happy with this thing ;-)

the prism 2.5 cards.. hmm..

well, i'll try the e-bay with the hcl list..
my question is just what card installs the easyest way?

i already saw the horror story's about installing the NSP + SP1 from cabs and random try's

i already installed evrything i need ;-)
just need to pick up a card somewhere..

when i look through the list i see all these brands that are totaly unknown to me like Proxim, lucent??
i think hard to get in holland hmm..

well, i will try e-bay for that matter.

another question,
GAMES

i can find some but all their download links are down..
heared names of space invaders, Blox, YachtCE, pocket chess?

somebody got a download link for me maybe?

anyway,

I must compliment you guys with this great helping site.
you don't see much of these out there!

You can probably find some games in the reviews section... I have the HP 360LX, similar to yours, but gray-scale and I purchased a 512 MB CF card for it to install my apps on...
And,
This is a superb site .. My favorite web-site all around...

tucows.com has a download site near you. pocketpccity.com also still has lots of games for CE 2.0 H/PCs.

Proxim and lucent are phenominally huge, though they are more commercially driven. Chances are that if you have used a WiFi NIC in the past, it used their chipset, you just saw it under the name of a reseller.

A search expression along the lines of this will show you all the Prism's:
