I know this is a long shot, but has anyone any ideas on running a Sony Ericsson GC79 GPRS/Wireless Lan card with the HP Jornada 720.

is this GC79 just GPRS? (no fancy EDGE or 3G?) then maybe you're better off with a nokia D211... that too knows GPRS+WLAN i have one and it works fine in the j720.
i think the GC75 has hpc2000 drivers though but that maybe doesn't even know gprs (can't remember for sure now!)

another idea: ifyou already bought the card you can try the nokia D211 drivers, who knows ...

Its just GPRS and Wireless lan no EDGE OR 3G.

The GC75 id GPRS only, no wireless lan support.and the Nokia website requires product registration to download software for the Nokia D211.

or from me. (drop an email?)

yeah the GC75 is only gprs but if you dont really need the wlan part.... well.. worth a try

let me know if the D211 (or maybe GC75) driver worked!
