| Greetings all,
I'm wondering if pocketBible will work on the Mobilepro 900 and if anyone can verify that?
I love my 900c, but the ce.net os does not do very much extra for me that hpc2000 wouldn't also do. I'm very light on webbrowsing and don't use the usb hardly at all except for a mouse, but I really miss being able to use pocketBible.
Can the 900 do tcpmp and other media as well as the 900c?
Thanks!

I have no reason to assume that PocketBible HPC2000 version wouldn't work with the MP 900, but I haven't tried it so I can't say that with 100% certainty. They do have a trial/demo version if you want to try it for yourself!! |

| I would try it if I had one I have the 900c and have thought about making a trade or selling it and 'downgrading' to the hpc2000 os just to add compatibility with a lot of the software out there.
PocketBible being one.
If anyone out there has a 900 and would try pocketBible for me I would appreciate it
thanks again.

| I'm 99% sure Laridian Pocket Bible doesn't run on the 900 either... |

Why the 1% uncertainty? |

Guess you can always sell or trade your MP 900c for an HP 720 - we know for certain that PocketBible works on that H/PC because Clinton Fitch has a wonderful review of the software in the Reviews Section. |

| I'm afraid I just can't do it. I'm a student and type way too much for my huge hands to go to a smaller keyboard. I had my hands on a jornada once... loved the screen and size for 'pocketability, but I just can't type on it

| John, the 1% uncertainty is for cya principals....it wouldn't be the first time I was wrong, and since I don't have a 900 any longer to test it on....

| the demo prog is not large from Laridian, it's a quick download if you don't mind testing it.
Thanks!

Unfortunately, the silly folks a Laridian won't let you download a copy of the demo without first giving them your email address and setting up a password protected account. That's to much trouble just to download a demo of something I have no interest in purchasing.
If you don't mind downloading a copy and emailing it to me, I'd have no problem testing it for you! Edited by Hurricane John 2006-03-10 3:36 PM

| Rich, if the problem is the htmlview again, then i can assure you it will work fine with a hpc2000 900. i had a hpc2000 900 and htmlview was present in its rom (same version as on the J720, iirc ). believe me i looked at that rom way too many times
(of course i never tried this application, so i say it only with 99% certainty ) |

| Yeah, I think it was the same problem...so all we need is the htmlview.dll from the 900...now how do we get it?

| umm... i dont think we can...
i dumped the rom from my 900 a long time ago but couldn't get too much files out of it... mmm i heard of a better rom extractor since then.. should try that.
still i don1t think the file would work in RAM. |
