While using a 30x handheld microscope (hpm, lol) to check the pins in a pcmcia slot it dawned on me to check my styluses.

Pretty cool and easy to spot any grit or crud that could damage a screen. All my stylii (w/e) are in good shape.

It beats tossing away a good stylus or buying new ones if it's not really needed. The cheapo 30x scope came from Radio Shack for about $5.

HPM... lol

That's pretty cool. Especially if you accidentally drop a stylus, and you are afraid to use it on the screen until you are sure that it is clean. There's nothing worse than a big nasty scratch on your HPC screen.

Agreed, a scratched screen is avoidable and tragic.

Hey, I'm all for anything that saves gear, which means saving money, time, and aggravation.
I'm sure someone figured this out before but I've never read about it.

Note to selves: Add hpm to hpc accessories

IIRC, stfcclmshell had recommended a polish that's used for aircraft canopies. I can't remember the name though. A search will turn it up.
