ViaMichelin Navigator 4.4 works perfect!

I knew that the previous versions of ViaMichelin navigation (2.5 and 3.0) software worked on th Jornada 720, but they were written for Pocket PC2000 so it's not very strange that they work on a HPC2000 with some dll's

But I saw a new version 4.0 (mapsonic is now known as ViaMichelin Navigator)
I wanted to have it on my Jornada 720 but I was dissapointed when I looked at the system specs:

*Microsoft Pocket PC 2003 or 2003 SE, Windows Mobile 5.0*

I knew that this could not work on my system, but for some reason I wanted to try it.

I installed it, no error messages, no extra dll's
IT WORKS!

Can anyone tell me how this is possible? or is the information on the ViaMichelin site not correct?

For everyone (in Europe) who wants to have a good navigation system in 3D.
Get a Jornada 720 with a Haicom GPS card + the Michelin software and you're done!

Hi, where did you source the software from - cannot seem to find it on web?

Thanks

Yes I have the aygshell in my Windows folder, but isn't it strange that a Microsoft Pocket PC 2003 works on my Jornada 720
I use it with a CF to PCMCIA converter, no drivers needed.
(set it to COM2 and it works)

no, it isn't strange, WM2003 apps do work sometimes.
