SE t630 is an easy phone, just give the 780 the dial number *99# and lets see what happens.

if that doesnt work go into the phone menu / connections (not sure if its called that way in the english menu - using hungarian here on my T610) / data comm and there check out how many data accounts are. and if they have the APN set up in them. your gprs provider should tell you the right APN.

any error messages btw?

are you sure the APN is setup right and you're calling the right CID number? do NOT use extra init strings though!

handheld attitude has an ispfix file, may help. i setup the irda connection to my ericsson T39 incorrectly for the first time, or at least the phone didnt like it: i specified the DNS server on the J720 and not in the phone. ispfix solved that. then later i realized i didn't need the DNS server and woo it worked without the fix.

ispfix is for the Jornada 720, and an arm processor. It will not work on the 780 MIPS processor.
Uninstall the update.

lol, delete it!

the ericsson T series don't like init strings! they're simpler than that will work without any damn string

just give the APN in the phone and dial the right CID number and thats it!
