Well that was yummy. I ate one of the four packages from a box or crackers, with a little margarine and peanut butter. Methinks I need to shop soon.

Nice Pics!

I just posted a desktop wallpaper idea on the desktops thread. I hope it works out! I've never tried making a wallpaper for the site before...

Those are awesome bbqs. If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.

We call them bachelor smokers. I spend about 60-70% of my time in Houston, alone. I wanted something small efficient and durable, soooo....

I knocked these out one Saturday morning in one of my shops. The cooking surface is only 13"x14", the firebox is a 10" cube. The shell is 12guage mild steel, the heat baffles are 10 ga.

I cooked those ribs with 16 charcoal briquettes. The 6lb. chicken, stuffed with shrimp & crab stuffing, took 6lbs of oak chunks.

I can use 10 briquettes to reach over 550f. in just a few minutes.

My employees and I built a combo grill, smoker and oven for a charity auction. It weighed almost 600 lbs. The charity sold it at auction for $3,500.00.

TEX-MEX is great food. Also any kind of BBQ. Love both.

Well I relieved the hunger situation for today at least. Another fav of mine is a BIG hot breakfast. So today I went out and had:

A pound of homefries
6 eggs, over easy,
1/4 lb. bacon, grilled crisp,
2 homestyle sausages and a slab of pea meal bacon,
4 slices of thick toast and jam

All washed down with a gallon of coffee. All for $7.99 at a local eatery done in 50's deco and great friendly people.

edit: burrrrp. excuse me.

After that meal I haven't eaten anything substantial for the rest of the day. No need too. I think I had all my days calories in one go.

Where do the health "experts" get their data thats says you'll live longer if you eat many small meals each day?

I eat the same way usually - very reptilian. One meal, huge, once a day. Like 2 plates of salad, an order of breadsticks and an entire pizza pie, for instance Which, of course, considering I weigh 128 lbs., surprised my server all to heck. She said she's seen guys twice my size eat half of that At a sitting I outeat my 260 lb. weightlifter pal.

I can't eat like I used to, even though my breakfast seems contrary to the fact. A whole large loaded pizza used to be routine for me.

I eat to live, but do enjoy good food when I have the chance. I'm proud to say I've avoided all fast foods for the better part of two years, so if I go overboard with the greasy stuff once in a while it's no big deal. Cooking for one gets boring.

Perhaps I should start looking for the next ex-Ms. Wallythacker, one with really good cooking skills.

Come to think of it, I'm going to be moving out on my own in a few months or so(Hope to get a J720 first), and I have virtually NO cooking skill! Looks like my future diet will consist of canned soup and cereal...
