I have recently got an HP 320LX and would like to know what the max CF memory card size is that the unit will take. Since I am looking at a 720 or 690 (for the colour) what is the max CF memory card size for these units ?

Thanks for the support.

Tim

You can find this kind of information in the "Support & Tutorials" section. Here's the specific page:

If I read it right you can use cards up to 2gb, that is if the 320lx is ce 2.0

For the 720 32gb is the limit. One day we'll see affordable 32gb cards. Maybe we'll be lucky enough to still have working hpcs to take advantage of them.

I wonder which will be cheaper faster? 32gb CF cards or 30gb pcmcia hdds. Wait, the pcmcia hdds are affordable now (?) aren't they?

Well, I have a 40 GB HDD that I pulled from my old notebook computer when it went kaputt. I put it in a hard drive enclosure and hooked it up via USB to my Clik!-enabled MP800, and it read it fully without supplemental power. And all it cost me was a $1200 notebook PC.

What a deal, and you didn't let us in on it. Shame on you.
