Hi..
Well I installed MiniStumbler and it works fine. I have some questions about how it works though.
Right now it is showing three networks:

MAC-XXXXXXX SSID XXXXXX and so forth

What I don't understand are what the circles on the left of each signify? I get that the one with a lock in it means the network is encrypted. But the other two
have me mystified..they are turning colors..white, then yellow, then red. What does this mean?

And the bar on the bottom keeps changing from No AP's to 1 AP to 2 AP's and back...I know AP is Access Point..but why the flucuation?

Also, under channel two say 6 but one is 6* and one is 6+.

Finally, if I wanted to connect to one of the networks how would I do it? (I am asking for info's sake..I am not interested in stealing my neighbors' high speed connections...lol)

I am sorry if these are stupid questions...I can't find a help file for this program anywhere. Thanks!

oh i found this only now. do you still have questions?

fluctuation: one of the APs is very far and signal is weak / getting lost.

i think green means everything is ok, not sure about yellow not sure about the channels either but doesn't really matter with infrastruct. connection

get the SSID of the network you want to connect to and enter it in the prism config utility
