Gee, this conversation could get sorded very quickly

Let's raise the tone. Don't you at least use one for an alarm clock?

I'm going to experiment and stop all caffine tomorrow and see if that helps.

I'll set some hpcs to remind me to go to sleep, and some as alarm clocks to wake me up.

Now, out of the gutter the rest of you ....

I'd be careful if I were you and make sure you have some painkillers available..if you are a caffeine junkie, abruptly stopping will give you a whopper of a headache. I know this because my fiance is a coffee addict..LOL!

Geez, you're right. A cold turkey stop might not be very smart. Plus I'd have to forgo my daily tea.

I'll take a different approach. I'll cut the caffine after 7pm and see how that works.

no... (i have my reasons for that)

but even if i did, it would be enough to just place the hpc beside the bed..

Cmonex's method to fall asleep is pretty much what I would say, except that if you can get it to a point where you imagine moving along paths or something, it can get you to sleep pretty quickly.

I have noticed that you are not on at 8am anymore...

So here it is at 3 minutes to 2300 here in the Central US - WAY past my bedtime. I'm a morning person so if I'm up past 2200 you should be impressed.

What makes tonight so special? Ah, well, a freshly baked review over at CF(D)C! will do that to ya - especially when the NDA ends on it at 2300

Notice how turkey worked its way into the conversation again.

Anyway, I recall reading somewhere that we're learning enough about the physiology of sleep that we may someday be able to do away with sleep altogether. (Now if talking brain physiology doesn't bore you to sleep, nothing will. )

No sleep? Wow, 24 hours of boredom instead of 16! j/k. My cabin fever is peaking.

Give me 24 hours of daylight and good weather and I'll make use of it.

Just move a little farther north.
