| Lol, I've thought about moving there for the summer season if the temps up there were a little warmer. I should sign up for the "guest worker" thing to hang out in SoCal over the winter. |

| !!! This is great. I'm truly tired and groggy. I think I'm done for the day and I'll sleep when my head hits the coffin. Edited by wallythacker 2006-03-23 3:46 AM

No sleep? Wow, 24 hours of boredom instead of 16! j/k. My cabin fever is peaking.
Give me 24 hours of daylight and good weather and I'll make use of it.
nah it would be great in my opinion!!
sleep just wastes my time.

Cmonex's method to fall asleep is pretty much what I would say, except that if you can get it to a point where you imagine moving along paths or something, it can get you to sleep pretty quickly.
hey nice idea, if i happen to have the need (afraid not ), i'll try this Edited by cmonex 2006-03-23 8:26 AM

But I do want to stay up and not be crappy the next day... Anyone has a remedy for staying up? Coffee doesnt do it....Sigh. Edited by tech_girl 2006-03-23 10:06 AM

| How did you get cabin fever? That can be pretty serious. Has anyone here ever seen that Stephen King movie, The Shining? |

| First, I was smart. All my axes and other such deadly weapons are tucked away in my shed. No pulling a "Here's Johnny" from you.
Second, I was going alright until February. We had little snow untl then. Feb 6 a massive storm rolled in and the snow was relentless for the entire month.
Every day I'd need to clean 6-8" of snow from the car and snowblow the drive if I had any hope of getting out.
Just as warm spell would melt the worst of it another arctic front would roll in with heavy thick snow for a few more days.
It's just me here so the snow removal is all my job. Cats make lousy snow shovellers. Too lazy or too smart, take your choice.
To compound things I missed last summer, being mostly homebound.
So I feel I've been in the joint for a year and my parole date is around the corner.
Cabin fever creeps up on you. I find you don't wake up with it one day. Is a sublte change that overcomes you.
There's only one cure. Get out in enjoyable weather and start interacting with the world again. I can't wait.
I never suffer these weird sleep cycles in the summer. I'm with the sun usually and off to bed an after after twilight.

| Tech_girl,
Have you tried a strong tea before bed? It keeps some of my friends going for an extra hour or two. |

| Exercise generally stimulates blood and adrenaline flow and perks you up. Have you tried warm milk ? It sometimes helps me. |

| I thought warm milk puts one to sleep sooner than you can count 1, 2, 3?
