| Well lets just all hope I can do something. I plan on getting Virtual PC on my Mac. And who knows? I might even be so good I could make a HPC development tool for Mac.
Testing? Sent out individually? Forget that. When I want a program tested I need as many people to test so I will post downloads on here so anyone can try out my software.
Now here is the big one: Is there PocketC for 1.0? I'll download it tommorow. Then if all goes well CE 1.0 can have some life again! |

| I'm looking at a few programs written in C. If I can learn C then I guess I can do stuff for almost any OS.
And now for a few adverts!
are you one of the 50,000 who bought a Windows CE 1.0 device? Do you feel that you wasted your money? Then look no further than... Telstar5!
Its time CE 1.0 users took action. If there isnt anything out there make it yourself. And I'm one of them! Looks like CE 1.0 devices are really going to get some life again. |

TelStar, I love your ideas I support you all of the way and I can maybe be a beta tester with my Velo 1...
CE Geek, if you want a cheap CE 1 device, get the Velo 1, but if you want an HPC with CF and PCMCIA, get the HP 300 or 320LX (ancestors to my 360LX )
count with me for beta testing too
Right now im learning the API. Its easy!
some stuff remains the same from my old PASCAL Win16 progamming days!
("createsolidbrush"! )

I already have it for months...if you only asked.
but its docs are poor and the IDE has some glitches...
I only use it for testing some algorithms on the road |

| About beta testing:
I can test your programs and see if they work on CE 2.0 SH3.. |
|
|
|
| mostly 1.0 apps works with CE 2.0 and CE 2.11 , as the SDK is very similar
(indeed, im working with the SDK 2.0 - wich was a 2.11 hacked to work with 2.0) |

| Problems already. I cant install PocketC to work with CE 1.0.
There was a version for CE 1.0 on the desktop i'm told. Any idea where I can get it?
If all else fails I cant continue on any projects.
Unless there is any other way to make programs without SDK or PocketC. In that case the projects will continue. Sadly, I have been cut off from the internet at home so if I donwload anything it will have to be stored on a floppy diskette.
Ill do a search now in the 5 minutes I have left. |

| Last week I remembered I had a Cassiopia A-11 I bought it 8 years ago but I didn't use it for almost 6 years.
I only remembered it when I was looking for an HPC to use it as a micro-controller for my PPRK robot project.
So, I've downloaded eVC++ 4.0 from microsoft but I couldn't find it's WinCE 1.0 SDK !! and searched the whole web for a week but no luck.
until I came across this great forum that have many WinCE 1.0 Gurus.
I was wondering where I can get that winCE 2.0 SDK that can be adapted to WinCE 1.0 ?
and does it work with eVC++ 4.0 ? or I need to get eVC++ 3.0 ?
Thanks,
Fady

| Thanks tenjeangosi alot.
I've installed the CE 2 SDK but the eVC++ 4 can't see it. it can only see the default CE 4 SDK that came with it.
I've checked the CE 2 SDK documentation and it only talks about how to configure it with VC++ 5.0
do you know any url/document that explains how to connect eVC 4 with SDK 2 ?
or do I need to change to eVC++ 3 ?

| I had the same problem with eVC 3.0, it couldn't recognize the 2.0 SDK after I've installed it.
it only recognizes the default WinCE 2.11 SDK that came with it.
