| I've just got myself a USB hub off ebay but it will not work on my laptop at all, it works on my Jornada with my USB Card and with any desktop PC I try it on, any ideas?

| Do USB devices work in the laptop without the hub? | |

| Yeah, all the devices work without the hub, just not with it.

| Does the hub have an AC adpater? Are you using it?
Is it a USB1.0, 1.1 or 2.0 hub, same question for the port (not that it should matter)
Lastly, try a different cable between the hub and the laptop.

| Hi,
The port is 1.1, the cable is fixed and I don't have a power supply. In a nutshell

| if you have a male to female usb cable, try using that in between the laptop and the hub
If it doesn't have a power supply, then it could be a voltage problem if the laptop has an old usb port.
