| I finally got my PC and H/PC to recognise each other again, so I could copy a story I wrote on the H/PC to my PC. Doing Cut and Paste, it got converted into a Word 97/2000 doc file, which managed to cause Open Office to hang and Lotus Smartsuite to crash (I don't have Microsoft Word installed). Setting my preferred choice, RTF, the conversion window poped up, but no file was created where I pasted. The Word 95 option creates a file which crashes CWordpad (which is the default on my system for .doc files). Haven't tried the other programs yet. Don't want to crash the last shreds of optimism.
Edit: I've realised that my mistake was doing the copy and paste using Directory Opus. Moving to Windows Explorer, the RTF was copied successfully. I guess I'll leave the rant above here, but I'm happier now.
