| mine runs ok @796mhz, maybe it depends on the particular unit? tried this with only my first one, and that one had been used constantly at 530mhz by its previous owner. |
| tried again...
Runs now I shifted file from SD to storage....
292% at 530
600 and 708 both drop the score back to about 200% So looks like 530 is optimum clock rate for me.

| Thanks for the tip!
Does anybody know what the checkbox means? |
| The check box seems to activate the clock speed set with the slider....
I guess to enable easy swapping between where you set slider and std clock speed....
If it isn't checked the clock speed remains at 400Mhz regardless of where the slider is set...
Cheers

| I just hit the button to activate the slider value. I'll try the 700 MHz setting for a while. If I like it, I'll keep it.
Now trying to get Flash 7 and Adobe Reader to work. I couldn't find a thread about the latter here, can anybody give me a hint? |

| My tests, and someone elses before mine... have both shown the optimum bunchmark to be at 530mHz
700 results in performance dropping back down the scale...
So I guess I am saying don't just set at 700 and forget... try 3 or 4 speeds and benchmark the system to see where it performs best...

| John, that's an interesting point! Which kind of benchmark do you suggest? I tried to watch YouTube videos, but the system (especially the video ) is too slow. It delivers just a slideshow. Still better than nothing at all. |
| Not sure the problem is the video....
I used Geared2003's mediaplayer version 1.05 (available in developers section on forum ) based on TCP MP and I downloaded the benchmark video from http://www.pocketdvd.ca/support/downloads/ (bottom of page )... then ran it at different cpu clock settings settings...
The optimum on my device (so best performance figure on the video ) was from 530MHz.

This is the only setting that hangs my system. All other settings seem to work.

| 600 hung mine when I had benchmark video on SD card.... |

| which video driver (e.g. "Epson Graphics" ) and which video size (e.g. 100%) are you using for your Benchmark tests?

The hang is instantaneous. Hitting the Button freezes my system.
There is no other application or driver involved (and no option of changing the video driver exists at all. ) Edited by mvcube 2007-05-06 7:06 AM
