I have a self-powered USB hub plugged into my Amity, and a USB mouse on one port. When using wired ethernet only the mouse port on the hub lights up.

When I switch to a pcmcia wifi card (any brand) all the port LEDs on the hub light up. I've never seen anything like this. Any ideas?

That's very odd. Usually you wouldn't expect the ports on a hub to light unless there was a device in it. Are the Ethernet adapters you are trying low power vs a full size 5v WiFi adapter?

Oh well, is it impacting battery / stability / functionality?

If not, I wouldn't worry about it too much

The USB port LEDs go on and off randomly (except for the occupied ports) but everything works fine in terms of all the USB stuff, except for an external hdd but that's another issue.
