I have great respect for the J56x series. My ex had one for a long time and, ugh, let her kids use it all the time. They couldn't kill it.

But my ex killed it spraying cleaner onto the display and it seeped under and into the digitizer. (what was she thinking?)

Anyhow, I admit it was a fun piddle. Much sleeker and more stable than my Casio E200. And really long battery life. Ex's battery was the original and still ran forever even with wifi.

Jornada, if you don't mind me asking, where'd you get it and what'd it cost?

Oh, baby i hit the Jackpot. I got it off ebay for (ready?) $51.00! It comes with the unit, battery, usb cradle, worldwide AC adaptor, and the manual. My Jornada 547 cost $58.00, but then again it had ALL of the manuals and Cd's (It came brand new when I bought it). As Jornada 660lx stated, I dont really have enough money for a super new one. I basically recycle my "handheld pc account" money by selling one handheld and buying another.

I have heard ALOT about the dust behind the screen . How do I prevent it? And is it a nightmare to take off the screen for cleaning? It comes with screen protectors ...

You can't prevent the dust, it is already inside. The old Hp/Compaqs often experience "flaking" of one of the sealants used in the assembly of the screens. I had 568 and a 3600 series, both with major dust under the screen. Very annoying.

My ex's 565 had one dust spot that moved around. For all her less than perfect care of it the dust never got any worse. If I find a parts 56x I'll be taking hers apart to fix it so I can report then on how hard it was.

I think you got a good deal. I've been looking on ebay on and off to find a 56x for her with no luck.

It's not a disease...a word with the suffix "itis" normally means an inflammation of, like appendicitis, or tonsillitis...no, what you have is an addiction. An unfortunately I don't believe any 12-step program has ever cured it.

I bought my PPC + WiFi-card for $65 a year ago . I use it as a remote controll (salling clicker) for my Powermac.

I bought my J720 two weeks ago for $169 and it's in mint condition.
