Netbsd seems to eat up battery quickly

After I entered the netbsd shell, I switched off the power. One day later, the machine just run out of battery.
It seems that Netbsd hasn't provided a mechanism to save the battery when shutdown.

but i see now why you need to do hard resets.
edit: this couldve gone into the linux part of this forum, there are more people who can help.
