This is for Windows XP users: Do you like the Luna theme or the Classic Windows theme better? I personally like classic theme.

As far as I'm concerned, there is no other XP theme, vile vile vile vile.

When you say "Luna" theme, are you referring to the default XP theme? (I don't recall seeing the moniker "Luna" anywhere in Control Panel\Display or anywhere else.) If so, count me as a fan of "Luna" - I don't find it particularly ugly, and to me it's more user-friendly. (Hey, I'm a nonconformist. Why can't everyone be like me?)

Classic. Also for performance reasons. It is not by chance that Windows Server 2003 uses Classic.

Yes, I thought it was cool that 2003 uses classic... If 2003 was cheaper, I may have just bought it.. On topic: Also, on the visual effects, I have everything set off, and I have the old type start menu on..

I think it is quite clear, if one reads some of my posts, that I don't like Windows, but 2003 is not bad, quite fast and stable, usable even for a workstation. Some folks on the net have shared their experiences on that.

Terminal services are also a must, at least for what I need to do with it. And my Institute pays the price

Visual effects: I agree with you, most of them are just silly, boring and useless. More or less like most of PowerPoint effects and themes.

If one looks for nice visual effects, well, no choice: he must use a Mac...

I vote for the PowerBook.

Also the iMac 20" is not bad at all Not the fastest computer in the world but with a very crisp LCD screen and an excellent form factor, sold at a very good price. Consider that the LCD screen has **nothing** in common with cheap models usually sold with PCs, do your maths and...
I have one in my office since 1.5 years, I use it for my main computing needs and is really a very confortable machine to work with.

I do use the new style start menu mind. I didable the tray icon masking and window grouping.

Sorry guys, MacOS
Can't stick the UI. Makes me suffer from chronic hypothermia.
