Is there some way to adjust screen resolution in CE? I run some pocketPC apps on my Simpad, but the apps only seem to sizt to a handheld screen size.

Is there any way to "blow up" screen sizes on the apps themselves?

There is a program called Nyditot Virtual Display which does this through software.

If I read it correctly, markg wants the apps to look "bigger".

That is because his Simpad has much higher resolution than PPCs, therefore an app expecting 240x320 would only fill a corner. I don't know if Nyditot can lower your resolution though (I think it might...).

Yeah, that's a paradox on higher-resolution full-screen H/PCs like my 6651. The upside is that the whole app interface fits within the screen without WinWatch or Nyditot; the downside is that it's smaller than it needs to be to fit the screen, and as such is harder to read or to tap on accuately.

takwu: yes nyditot can lower the resolution, i played a lot with it.

anyway what i misunderstood: "Is there any way to "blow up" screen sizes on the apps themselves?"

this is really not unambiguous... but i should've read the therad title..

A good expression comes to mind: Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit

Due to the nature of the hard coded dimensions of the AYGShell, the programs can't be forced to draw across the entire screen surface without being recompiled for Windows CE - there are some exceptions for dialogue and window driven applications.
I still maintain that Nyditot should be your first point of call, altering font sizes etc will probably not do you much good.
