Has anyone run across a speaker adaptor for the HPC 320 LX that you could play voice or music files on the HPC and connect them to a speaker? The OS may not support this either and Not sure this is possible, but I wanted to ask some pros. For example: using the usb port on the back (when not syncing) to add a speaker plug (usb to speaker plug). Thanks.

You cannot add any additional hardware to the device to add audio functionality. The only way to do what you want would be to jack into the speaker connection on the motherboard with a new speaker / phones jack / piggy backed speaker. It would be mono though.

The port on the back is not a USB port, it's a RS323 "Serial" port.

First of all, that's not a USB port, even though it looks a lot like one. It's a proprietary serial port that only accepts HP serial cables. I'm not aware of any serial (or PCMCIA or CF) adapters that supply an audio jack connection. The only possibility I'm aware of is that some HP H/PC owners have tried opening up the device to make a direct speaker jack connection to the speaker wire. (Don't know how successful they've been.)
