I just spotted this over on Pocket Matrix:

Quote
This guy here has written a joystick/gamepad driver for the pocket pc (actually was written for the LOOX)

The gamepad i found that works with all axis and buttons is the "Gravis gamepad pro USB" (I tried alot of gamepads) (was also told that the original Microsoft sidewinder USB works the same)

Here is the driver to download. You must follow these instructions in order for everything to work. Once done and plugged in, you will see a message saying "gamepad connected"

copy it to your E830's Windows folder and enter the following to your registry:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\HID\LoadClients\Default\Default\1_5\Gamepad]
"DLL"="hidgamep.dll"

finally do a soft reset and attach the gamepad.
And don't forget to unplug the client calble from the PC otherwise it won't work.
The driver simply maps generic y and x axis to up,down,left,right and buttons 1-8 to Numpad 1-8.

This is clearly for PPC2003SE, but I am wondering if it works under a 4.x'er with a USB host port? Any takers?
Could be entertaining.

The drivers A) have to be on the device and B) it has to be a 16-bit card.
Then you're in with a chance.
