| I would gladly pay $50 or more for a modern, supported browser for the Jornada HPC line. Pocket IE and ftx are failing at enough sites these days to really raise my frustration level through the roof. I tried hex editing Netfront 3.0, but was only partially successful. It would run, but the address bar was missing and the menus just said "foo." I wouldn't think it would be very difficult for them to polish it up and release it as a supported product, as it is already at least partially functional. They would pick up at least several hundred new users, judging by the continual wailing on all the HPC forums.

| Snappy, please add me to your petition. Like Rocketman, I would gladly pay $50 or more for a modern, supported browser. Like you, I need it for a MIPS processor. I would also want it to support an 800 x 600 screen since it would be for a MobilePro '890' (an MP 880 upgraded with a 790 ROM) -- this should not be a problem for well-written code.

| hi BruceHungerford,
if you already have the MIPS version of the netfront (3.0 ) cab file, you only need this:

| This thread is the petition! and I am keeping count ... once it hits 50, I will compile the users and send a mail to Access and see if they can build one for HPC2000. Granted 50 is not a HUGE base, but its a start. Maybe enough to give them the nudge in the right direction. |

Why not use
http://www.ipetitions.com/index.html
? Or any other petition site.
Ofcourse the reliability of the persons that signs isn't as good as when you "chat" with every singel one. |

| Count on me, Snappy! I was away for two days, so I did not ping the Access people, yet. I suggest that if we get a positive or at least reluctant answer that we contact all known moderators of similar Web pages to follow us. |
