| I have Visual Studio 2005 and want to try to create some apps for my Handheld PC 2000 (Jornada 720), but when I go to create a new project and select Win32 smart device it only shows PocketPC 2003 and Smartphone 2003. I have installed the handheld pc 2000 SDK as well (If VS doesn't use it, what program can use the SDK?) | |

Pull eVT 3.0 - you can use the older one or the newer one. This will integrate. Otherwise, it's VC/VB 6. | |

| Thanks, one more question. Is there an emulator for Handheld PC 2000 like there is for PocketPC, so I can test the apps on the computer instead of needing to have the Jornada hooked up? | |

| Bad news I'm afraid, for some reason which we have spent nearly 7 years trying to work out, there never was an emulator. 95% of everything HPC2000 (probably 98%) exists in HPC Pro, so most either physical device test, or use the H/PC Pro emulator. | |

| OK, thanks for the help. | |

| As Chris says, use the 2.11 SDK and emulator - there's not a huge amount new in 3.0 | |

| That is only relevant for Dev's if you're making ActiveX Controls, which you need HPC2000's OS for, PIE's ActiveX support is sketchy. | |
