Unfortunately, it seems like a dead end down this trail. I am also trying to find one for my MP790, but most cards don't seem to support HPCs.....

I wrote this in an other thread.

http://www.usb-infos.de/USB-FAQ-73000.html

"Ein Anbieter von USB-1.1 oder USB-2.0 PCMCIA-Karten für 16-Bit ist uns nicht bekannt."
=
"An offerer of USB-1.1 or USB-2.0 PCMCIA cards for 16-Bit is not known to us."

If these guys don't know of a card then it will probably be very hard to find.

The problem isn't just driver based. All USB PCMCIA cards are 32bit cardbus and not 16bit pccard. (You can easy spot a cardbus card by the metalstripe ontop of the connector end of the card... look at picture).
And theres an other issue... quite big one... do you relly want a USB-pccard??
The USB standard require each USB-port to be able to deliver 500mA.... And becasue of this all (that I have seen) USB-pcmcia-cards are fitted with an external power supply... Not fun when the main reason you use a HPC is because the extreme portability...
I say USB-pcmcia = Useless..

Not.
We have to impose some moderation standards on the fourm, otherwise it becomes a free for all with people refusing to do any of their own research and posting the same thread over, and over, and over, and over again.

Where's the fun in having to wade through all that?
Certainly isn't fun for me.

Your being to literal in the search.
Just go for "USB PC Card"

Sorry. C:Amie....

You are absolutely right.

Maybe you should change the Date limit in the "search forums dialog" to choose "all post" by default.... I think many people miss that part.. I know I did at first.. Is it to server heavy? I don't know..

Dear Chris Tilley and other users of this forum,

I think I owe you guys an apology. I just wanted to know if H/PC 3.0 a.ka. Win 2.11 supported USB.. I should have researched a bit more. Please don't be angry with me. I really respect this site, and especially you Chris, for maintaining this very informative, impressive site.

I hope you accept my appologies.
Tsubasa K.

FWIW,

This forum--by far--is the politest, most informative, most DECOROUS, if I may use such a lofty word that I've ever participated in.

I read it every day, but post very little, if only because other users are already covering the isses that interest me.

It brings back the good memories of Chris/Clinton's old site. The quality of that forum was never replaced until now.

Have a good weekend, everybody,
Jake

Guys,

Thanks for your kind words. We all appreciate them very much.

stingraze,
There is no need to apologise, but I thank you for it.

From time to time it's necessary to point out where things are being repeated, no one is making a personal critique, it just for the betterment of the forums. None of us will think anything else of it - so long as you're not going around multi-posting on purpose

In which case I'll set Sean on you

If that threat doesn't keep you in line, nothing will.

As ProgramSynth likes to point out to me, the Admin's here on the forum like to get involved and stay actively involved. There is no satisfaction in just being an admin who moderates. It is our community too.

The days of ce320 S|HPC are a distant memory now. Suffice it to say that HPC:Factor has far surpassed both those sites now, in all respects.
The new forum has had more activity on it in such a short space of time, than the S|HPC board did in its entire life!

That is a testament to you guys though, not us.
So Keep H/PCing
