This is a HPC:Factor BETA

Following on from the existing threads, I've attempted to build some actual packages to enable synchronisation support on the Host PC without resorting to complex bat files. These are all in nice easy to use installers.

I've tested the 2003 one, as that's what Money version I'm using, and it seems to be doing the job.

Due to our licensing requirements, this is a non-hacked redistributable, consequently the beta is for CE3 (HPC2000) devices and higher only. I also cannot do ANYTHING about the odd CPU combinations here, so please don't ask for new versions of <xyz> processor which aren't already listed.

>>> BETA <<<

System Requirements:
Money 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 - English Language
Microsoft ActiveSync 3.8
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 SP2 or higher
Windows CE 3.0+

Installation:
  • Install ActiveSync on your PC

  • Install MS Money on your PC

  • Backup your MS Money File NOW

  • Install the HOST set on your PC

  • Reboot your PC - don't argue, just do it

  • Install the Money Viewer on your H/PC

  • Install the Sync update on your Handheld PC

  • Soft reset your H/PC

  • Synchronise your H/PC

Downloads:
http://www.hpcfactor.com/downloads/money/

Please note that Windows 95 users will possibly have problems with these, other 9x users *may do*. It's the installer not the actual settings/software. Please report success on the installer as well as the synchronisation.

The mystery has been solved; now we know why most of the software developers dropped their support for the Handheld PC! You can't even give it away!

Sadly there is no CE2.00 support for money versions prior to 2001.

John, you said it

Oh okay, C:Amie, maybe I'll have to buy Money 2001, but what I meant in my original post is that I am willing to test on my future MP900, when/if I get it, as you said these are only compatible with CE 3.0 and higher..

I know, and I was griping about the lack of 2.00 support

When I said CE3 and higher... that might not be exactly true... *whistles*

If you are already synching with a PPC, then you should not need to install the HOST part of my beta.
