Given a limited budget (no budget really, no money right now) ...

A few months ago I bought a second Hitachi eplate that came with a bunch of accessories, including a Holux CF card GPS receiver - which WORKS! But I need the software to run maps with the GPS.

I do have Microsoft Pocket Streets 2002 loaded on the device - but it doesn't have GPS capabilities.

I cannot afford Street Wizard at this time - which I saw on this forum works with SH4 prcoessor - unless I can find a place to eventually buy it second hand for a very low price (not on Ebay, but on my watch list at Ebay - and it is not at Amazon).

What other options are there?

Um, are you sure about that? I guess there's an update to Pocket Streets 2002 that includes GPS support..
Check it out here

Unfortunately, I tried the update you mentioned (awhile back) and I believe it only worked on the 2002 version that runs on the Pocket PC and not the HPC!

I downloaded it and then when I went to install, the setup stopped at a screen saying you need Microsoft Streets 2002 or MapPoint 2002 or AutoRoute 2002. Hah! I have Microsoft Streets 2003, 2004 and 2005. Just my luck. And you can't decompose the setup file to anything worthwhile - all you get by changing its format to zip format are two datacab files.
