Im trying to connect a Pocket PC to Windows Server 2003 using Terminal Server Client for an industrial environment,so i want to specify the user, password and domain for the TS connection without the operator should type it.

I try to create an .rdp but i don´t know how do it. I modified the registry creating new keys but didn´t works.

Anybody has any idea?

Hi,

We do not support Pocket Pc devices on this site. The capabilities of the devices and the RDP client differ from the client and devices that we use, so the advice that we can offer you may not actually be applicable to your device and situation.

Placing the password information onto the devices registry is a huge security risk for your company, if you lose the device or it is stolen you are handing over access to your servers to the criminal. I do hope that you are looking into locking down both the Pocket PC and the server for this enterprise.

With Windows CE devicse (our devices) you actually need a different build of the RDP client in order to get it to save the password information in the registry. This rules out using the registry. So in your rdp file you need to specify:
Password:s:put_your_password_here
