HPC PC emulator query

I'm running the HPC pro emulation kit (from the SDK) to experiment with Pocket Word (simply because I need to do alot of work in Pocket Word Outline, and I need to keep the outline structure)
It runs fine, but being naive as I am, is there a way to easily move files into and out of the emulator's object store, or for it to recognise the pc hd or cf card as a storage card or external drive, so I can access files.

I'm not on a machine with the emulator installed at the moment, but i think there's soemthing called empfile, or something like that.
